    Super quick service and delicious food. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs lunch while on Swan Island. The owners are very friendly and funny. They really take the time to learn their regulars and memorize their orders. It really makes you feel like you are welcome! Be mindful that they get fairly busy during the lunch rush but they are still very quick with their service.

    I was looking for a quick lunch spot on Swan Island and this is pretty much that. The lady who took my order was friendly and answered my questions. I ordered the chicken and prawns lunch special. It was rather large. It came with 2 skewers of shrimp and the normal serving size of chicken and rice as well as salad. It tasted good and the service was quick. I'd eat there again.

    I get lunch from here at least three times a week.  I work about 5 minutes away from Hot Rice and the owner makes it incredibly easy to pick up my food and go.

    I actually end up calling my order in, and he picks up the phone and goes "chicken beef combination?", And then five minutes later my food is ready to go and I'm back on my way to work.

    So the people that work here are very friendly. The service is VERY quick. Lastly the food is really freaking good for the money your paying. I always get the chicken beef combo. In a weird way it's oddly addicting.

    Thank god for something good on this spit of sand that is not a $20 lunch. Great specials for lunch before 2pm, very friendly service and an owner who remembers your name when you walk in the door.

    The food is pretty decent for teriyaki. The people are super nice. The wait is short and the prices are pretty good for what you get. The only reason they get three stars from me is the Styrofoam containers.  I will eat here if I eat in but I would likely get more to go if they didn't have styrofoam which I think is illegal in Portland.  I imagine nobody reports it because it is mostly truckers and people who work on Swan Island.
